It is the main library of the Pomoravlje district and as such represents the center of the library-information system of the region.
The book fund consists of around 100,000 books from all areas of arts and sciences. It can provide its users with many kinds of children’s books, technical literature, a reference collection, literary classics and both past and current periodicals.
The complete book fund is transferred to an electronic medium, with the library being completely computerized.
18 employees care for the needs of more than 4,000 registered users, with 70% of those being students. More than 300 various services are being provided each day in the area of 650 square meters. Two reading-rooms, for young and mature members, are used to hold public recitals, book promotions, poetry nights, and meetings with authors and publishers.
